UNIA closely collaborates with the Ukrainian Parliament, Presidential Administration, Cabinet of Ministers, ministries, and Government agencies in drafting mortgage laws and regulations. For example, UNIA specialists took part in developing the Laws “On Mortgage”, “On Mortgage Bonds”, and “On Amending the Law ‘On Mortgage’”. UNIA is engaged in on-going analysis and refining of laws and regulations in mortgage related areas. In particular, UNIA’s lawyers did expert examination and put forward important mortgage legislation initiatives (the Law of Ukraine “On State Registration of Property Rights and Encumbrances of Property Rights”, Draft Laws of Ukraine “On State Land Cadastre”, “On Land Market”, Law of Ukraine “On Organizational Arrangements in Formation and Circulation of Credit Histories”, Draft Law “On Amending Selected Laws of Ukraine in the Mortgage Area”, and a number of other laws and bills. Latest initiatives include development of the Code of Conduct for Mortgage Lenders, proposals on the property rights register, circulation of mortgage deeds, and refinement of regulations under the Law “On Mortgage Bonds”.
