Reasoning from UNIA's major tasks, our PR efforts are aimed at:

• Advocating interests of the Ukrainian financial sector through public education and public discussion of existing problems and achievement in the industry;
• Promoting mortgage relationship;
• Disseminating information on current trends at the Ukrainian and global real estate and finance markets.

UNIA has established partner contacts with numerous media. Comments and articles of UNIA experts and news about UNIA operation are regularly published by Business, Galytsky Kontrakty, Kommersant, Kompanion, Delovaya Stolytsa, Property Times, SeiCHAS; they are also broadcasted by many TV and radio channels, such as the First National, Inter, ERA, NTN, ICTV, 5th Channel, Radio Era, TKR, etc.

Besides, UNIA has entered into agreements on informational partnership with the informational agency Interfax-Ukraine and daily newspaper Ekonomicheskiye Isvestiya (Economic News). We cooperate intensively with regional media to raise the level of awareness of mortgage and property market among the public and journalists. In the second half of 2005 alone, we conducted two press clubs and training seminar for almost 100 journalists from national and regional media. The press club in Donetsk in February 2006 proved to be successful as well.

With support from the EU-funded project, UNIA is preparing a specialized booklet called "Mortgage: Considering Together". This publication is expected to become the first independent mortgage guide in Ukraine. At least 15,000 copies will be printed. This educational booklet is targeted on prospective borrowers. It will be distributed through member banks and other partner organizations on a free of charge basis.

UNIA is a co-sponsor of a number of conferences and symposiums dedicated to concrete areas of mortgage lending. We hope that holding of the 10th Annual Central European Conference on Mortgage Bonds in Kyiv in October 2006 will be an excellent opportunity for establishing close and fruitful contacts between members of the Ukrainian and international financial community. Complete re-design of UNIA web portal in March 2006 will enable us to radically improve the informational services UNIA currently provides to its members.
