UNIA prepares quarterly analytical reports on the Ukrainian mortgage market with detailed information on residential, commercial, and industrial property. These reports are based on data provided by over 40 banks. This analytical information is unique at the Ukrainian market since not a single organization (including the National Bank) collects and compiles specialized statistics on the mortgage sector.
Beside quarterly overviews of the mortgage market, UNIA analysts prepared detailed overviews of the Ukrainian real estate market, mortgage and mortgage related legislation, mortgage products, banking software, and international mortgage market structures. Specifically, detailed Denmark, Kazakhstan, Poland, Germany, and Spain country descriptions were prepared under support of the EU-funded technical assistance project in 2005 and 2006.
A special attention is given to publication of academic and policy studies of leading international finance and property experts. Due to our membership in the European Mortgage Federation and strong ties with the German Association of Covered Bond Issuers, Polish Association of Mortgage Banks, Hungarian Mortgage Association, and British Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML), we have an access to recent studies and latest information available from these organizations.
A new UNIA web portal will be launched effective the month of April which will provide member organizations with an access to the unique source of information on economic, financial, and legal issues, financial forum, work group documents, etc. The new version of the web portal will enable UNIA members to access databases of our partner organizations in Poland, Hungary, and Germany, specifically, those with legal, statistical, financial, and economic documents. The news section of the current version of UNIA web site covers latest events at the financial market and UNIA’s resent activities on a regular basis.
In addition, UNIA closely collaborates with Ukrainian higher educational institutions, thus, promoting studies and extending curricula in finance and property. Graduate and post graduate students of leading universities have an opportunity to enroll in the UNIA internship program and gain valuable experience and get useful information for their professional activities.
